Don't order online especially for family meal, I have observed each and every time the box is not filled up and is 1/4 empty, what's the point of getting family meal then. Since the top is wider if they leave 1/4 empty is basically getting only 1/2 entree.
If you order instore you are watching usually they fill it up
BOGO PLATE (BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE)

It said plate.. not bigger plate
It clearly said "plate", not "bigger plate". People like you who can't read and understand the simplest instructions cause so many problems in society.

Panda Express is terrible. For their recent scratchoff promo I got a BOGO code for a "plate" valid thru 3/7. Tried to use it in restaurant tonight and ordered two "bigger plates" - cashier gives me that look when my barcode doesn't work bc this had already happened to him about 15x tonight. He says, that only works on a regular plate, not a bigger plate. Doesn't say that anywhere on the coupon or fine print. So I told him to go ahead and throw away the two extra items so the coupon will work. Also the 15th time he had to do that tonight, there was a pile of small item boxes at the checkout where he put mine lmao. Panda Express can suck my egg roll.

I patron a PE near me weekly. Afterward, I used to take the customer feedback survey from off the back of the receipt. Corporate would email me a code for a free small side with the purchase of a plate. I went back to the same location and ordered what the code said. The cashier said the code was not valid but couldn't tell me why the system would not accept it. The cashier and manager proceeded to argue with me. They tried to tell me it was expired, which it clearly didn't expire for 5 more days. They finally said they would do it this one time. I have news for them, I eat there at least once a week, so they better get their coupon system working, or they will be "doing it this one time" each week. I had a similar issue at another location. However, that cashier didn't say anything. I could tell by their facial expression that it wasn't working, but they just did it anyway. Respect for that cashier. PE's coupon system is messed up. Someone needs to have a chat with the person who manages this system.

I always wondered about this. I'm in NYC and I've never tried Panda Express because I'm surrounded by great Chinese (and Asian in general) restaurants.

For those with good Chinese food options - how does this compare? For whatever reason, to me I associate it with mall Chinese food.

They're not terrible but not great either. My two teenage kids love it though.

you're not missing much. it's fast food chinese; "mall food" would be apt. with the bogo plate it was a good deal, otherwise I'd rather order from a local place, or I could make better at home if I have the time.

If anyone have an extra BOGO plate, can you PM me? It seems like they switched to $8 off family meal and that's too much food for me.

Panda is as much Chinese food as Olive Garden is Italian.

Saying that, I do enjoy Panda Express.

you got the code from corp but didnt care to contact them about their own coupon problem?

how could a $12 an hr cashier know what caused their pos not to accept your coupon? they arent the owner or a pos programmer who coded to refuse it.

one more lesson for you. never ever argue with your
food server. you will end up with their extra own special inhouse sauce. you will never win.

Which is most cost efficient, dollar-for-dollar: the BOGO, or the $8 off family plate?

Assume portion size is not a matter because you don't mind leftovers.

I buy the Angus Pepper Steak that comes to $12.72 where I live. So getting one free is better than saving $8.00.
