Taxes and "fees" extra plus Comcast's notoriously limited upload speeds (5-10mbit depending on region), data caps, and customer service makes this an awful deal if you have other internet options.

Warning, Comcast tacks on an additional $35 fee claiming it's taxes. Also, The actual speeds are more like 20 Mbps download with 1 Mbps upload.

The only thing good with Comcast is Internet Essentials broadband $9.95 per month because it is inclusive of every fee and tax, and there is a separate customer service number although I can't say if it is more direct or the same as the main.

So this is just their regular residential service? Why are they calling it 10G then?
I know they're to make the switch to DOCSIS 4.0 in order to finally offer symmetric download and upload speeds but for most people is still years from actually taking advantage of it

So misleading, but 10G (I assume 10 gigabit) is 10,000 Mbps, not 200 Mbps, which is what you are getting

Do you mean in general or for this particular "200 Mbps Internet w/ WiFi equipment) for $25/month" one? So is it $25 + $35 on your bill for this 200 Mbps connection? What's your tax locale?

"The Xfinity 10G Network is the new brand for our next-generation network. The Xfinity 10G Network delivers a powerful connection to our customers that will continue to get smarter, faster, more reliable, and secure. It is the network that our customers use today and the network that will power their connectivity experience in the future. "

In other words nothing changed. Marketing came up with a new name.

He's probably confused it with a plan that comes with TV. The "free channels" broadcasting fee is now up to a ridiculous $29...then you add TV taxes and gov fees which would probably bring it up toward $35.

Unlike TV packages, Xfinity internet packages don't usually come with taxes and other superfluous surcharges. In general, the Internet Tax Freedom Act doesn't allow federal, state, or local governments to charge taxes on internet service.

Not sure why this has so many thumbs down, it seems like a pretty good deal with no contract required. Note that when going through checkout and selecting their modem, they want to charge $15 for shipping - I'd rather just reuse my own modem.

My conservative mother is very scared of 5g. Now with 10g she is going to lose her mind.

Does this one include unlimited data because it uses their modem?

Has anyone received their first bill and can confirm the ~$25 total?
