Highly recommend the OXO 8 cup for the same price (less if on sale) as it can make a whole pot into an insulated carafe (any volume up to 40 oz.) OR single cup pourover style in the same machine. Also SCA (specialty coffee association) specs met/exceeded and a great brewer.

We have had a moccamaster at home for 15 years. And I still love love love it. Best coffee hands down. I have a kcup at work. Convenient, but certainly not a good cup of coffee. I am tempted to pull the trigger on this.

This is designed specifically for single-cup brewing, just like an Aeropress, Keurig, or single-serve pourover dripper. Technivorm also makes larger carafe sized brewers that can brew 40oz at a time.

If you're downing a full pot every morning, or prepping a larger tumbler, this probably isn't for you. This is more targeted at the people who have a few cups, and want/have the ability to make each cup fresh. Once you have your grind settings dialed in, it's pretty trivial to brew another cup, but could be tedious if you want multiple batches back-to-back for a larger tumbler to go.

This seems like it is geared towards coffee lovers. But most coffee lovers drink more than one cup at a time. Or even more than one cup in a to-go tumbler. Isn't this a lot of work for people who drink a lot of coffee?

Should get a Philips 4300 instead.
Do you mean the 4300 Lattego ? If yes, that is nearly 5x the price of this one Confused

some days, I'll do 2 rounds of coffee. I used to do 3 but am trying to limit myself.
I definitely appreciate brewing a fresh cup each time rather than it going cold or me having to reheat it.

Did I miss something, or are you seriously trying to suggest a superauto ESPRESSO machine for POUROVER coffee??

If it's anything like the 3200, you're paying 5x the price for espresso that is passable in milk-based drinks, and "coffee" that is comparable to something that came out of a Kuerig.

I bought a lattego before when moving from a keurig. It was substantially better than a keurig which isn't saying much since I won't drink kcup coffee anymore.

This makes up to ten ounces of coffee at a time, it requires four minutes to do so.

Not sure if you're worried about daily caffeine, but if so, try roasting your own decaf beans. I do this so I can have an excellent regular cup of coffee in the AM and an excellent cup in the afternoon without worrying about caffeine. No lack of taste this way

It's a specialty brewer with better quality components. it has a special water temp control that hits the ideal brewing temp yielding a better cup of coffee. Not the only one you could buy with this benefit but this adds a lot of flavor and depth over a lower quality maker.

I have one actually. It is built well but not worth $200 for a drip coffee machine. Honestly there is nothing special about it in my opinion, its mostly hyped. It does brew fast, so does the Bunn Coffee maker. If you dont want anything for asthetic like this, get your self a Bunn for half the price. Brew temperature between this and Bunn for half the price is the same, coffee taste the same.
