spotted the Vizio owner that doesnt really care about picture or sound....
Physical media is far from dead. Look at vinyls and steelbooks. It's convenient to stream, but a lot of us still want a physical product.
Looks like you're the one in dire need of "educating yourself" as there is a clear as day difference in streaming versus physical the majority of the time.. Audio especially, if you have a good setup then physical is still often times substantially better even with "TeChNoLoGy".. Nothing at all wrong if you care more about convenience as most do but saying streaming is just as good or better is flat out lying.

Who still buys discs nowadays? Streaming is the way to go. I guess this is a deal if you're a collector.

You're dropping 2-3k for it to make a difference between streaming vs physical media. Considering your average consumer is watching this from a tablet or a phone, preaching to the choir on a dead media format. This is coming from someone that spent 1.2k on a receiver.
Physical media is far from dead. Look at vinyls and steelbooks. It's convenient to stream, but a lot of us still want a physical product.

Sometimes you end up with no internet, whether it's an outage or some portion of your network fails. I had that happen this weekend when my 10 or so year old gateway (Arris SBG6580) failed in the middle of the night.

Not only that but many ISP's have instituted data caps that require paying an additional fee to go unlimited and that fee only usually applies for that month. Couple that with the standard internet fees and any streaming service fees and suddenly those archaic discs and a $50-60 Blu-ray player suddenly look a lot better.

That's not even taking into account if you have a gamer or two in your household because modern gaming eats up that capped allotment far faster, especially if you're digital only on those platforms as well.

What are those sleeves? I am guessing they are not like normal blu ray cases.

I dunno where you actually see a Vizio owner. I'm more on the Samsung, Sony, LG side. Plus no disrespect to other lines like Hisense or Vizio...their new tv product lines are something to watch for...MiniLEDs and OLED tv expansion here we come! This is more like declutter of material things for unneeded things when I can catch a flick it with a few clicks. As for picture and sound, I dunno what you rockin' but my 4k displays just makes the immersive experience much better in the sound and picture quality department. Outweighs any physical disc you tie to quality or sound...educate yourself cuz technology gets better and will leave you in the dust. Discs are inevitable to be a dying technology...but hey if you're a collector, knock yourself out. Nothing wrong with that. Just not my thing...no thanks I'll invest my $100 elsewhere and save time. I'm a Dreamworks lover and kid at heart so please don't get me wrong. Such movies are cherished...just different strokes and many options on how to watch movies for different folks. Beauty of how far we have come in tech today.

Some of these big sets come in packaging that is, in a word, cheap. For example I picked up the complete Married With Children series set a while back from Best Buy (only $17.99 for 11 seasons). It was essentially a stack of paper sleeves in a cardboard box.

Some sets are even worse, like the one set where it was basically DVD's stacked on top of each other on a spindle. The packaging for the discs in this set, if the third image is accurate, appears to be of the Digipak variety. They used those with CD's sometimes where the disc tray is plastic while the rest of the package is cardboard. Unfortunately getting the discs out of that type of packaging is usually a challenge.

Why do these deals always attract the "who buys discs?" crowd? Then they double down on the but streaming is technically superior nonsense. It isn't. It's great that you like renting stuff, some of us prefer to actually own the content.
