Just as an FYI:

I bought a Micro Center branded 1TB Micro SD card directly from them 4 months ago. It died at the 3 month mark. Completely dead, no device would recognize that anything was inserted.

The MC warranty is 3 years, but to file a warranty claim you have to go to a brick and mortar location. Unfortunately I don't have one in my state, BUT if you start a chat session on their support page, they CAN process the warranty claim online...they just don't advertise it on their web site and it may take a few days of back and forth to get the RMA # and shipping instructions.

I have these cards on my 12 webcams. Read/write constant for about 1 year now. Have not died yet. Keeping my finger crossed.

Fingers crossed. Nothing is perfect and I'm sure it's not indicative of the quality...I was just the unlucky one to get a failure. First time that's ever happened to me though.

Regardless, MC appears to be making it right. I haven't received the replacement yet but I expect it within a week.

never used this brand, how about endurance? data is priceless sometime.

Some news said only less than 70% chips fully passed QC, the rest was sold to some companies for cheap products

I love microcenter, but EVERY single microsd card that has microcenter brand on it has failed for me in my dashcams or wyzecams.

You're not the only unlucky one.

Has happened to me also. I really don't think their SD cards are worth messing with cause the risk of data loss is just one write away.

Yeah, sounds like there might be a quality issue after all. I wonder who makes these cards originally? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that MC sourced these very cheaply, most likely from a company who we've never heard of before.

Bummer. Thankfully, this was just sitting in my Steam Deck with only re-downloadable games on it. All I lost was time buying a new card and downloading everything again.

This happened to me like 10 years ago, to give you an idea of how long they've been using cheap cards. I lost allot of data on one before I connected the dots and realized their quality is sub-par.
Now I at least try to warn SDers to the likelyhood of failure and data loss and to overlook "free and good deal" with regards to MC SD cards.

Good luck.

Funny. Those folks who viamently lament the lack of SD cards on new phones state that these never fail.
