Surge protection degrades over time, just so you're aware. Your devices may be receiving power from your strip, but the total level of protection is likely below the rated Joules now due to power fluctuations and mini-surges that it has suppressed over the years.

seems like the clamping voltage is 400, i really shouldve jumped on the last deal for apc

I thought I should check how old mine are. When I realized one said Radio Shack on it, I figured I better order new ones. Bought two.

We had the nicest store manager here for years & years. When the store finally closed, he had a mental breakdown & became jobless. Now he spends his time in front of the walmart eating ice cream all day. (Right out if the gallon sized containers).

Puts on flame suit as I hop into my delorean but Amazon shows the same one I purchased for $13.50 on 11/8/16. Still works great with 0 issues.

ours ended up at ollies and t-mobile. it was so much fun to shoot the shit with these managers about tech and walk out with free batteries. probably the reason why they went out of business but I digress!

Version without network/coax is a few dollars more if you want USB ports instead. Probably not a hot deal but who the hell still plugs their landline phones into a surge protector. laugh out loud

Is surge protection really that important in most places with modern tech devices or is it more of a marketing thing, and even if it is, do devices like this really protect against them? And either way does this have a circuit breaker or more of a one-shot fuse-like device that once the max voltage or current is exceeded, it shuts down and you have to replace the whole unit? Do any such power strips come with actual circuit breakers, and if so do they tend to be thermal or magnetic? I mean for situations where the strip's capacity is exceeded by plugging too many devices into it, but not that of the circuit that it's on, e.g. 15A vs. 20A.
