C'mon that's a ridiculous reach. Even if you are anti-Dell, if you were able to get a system like this for under $2k that would beat whatever you can come up with. So you probably need to upgrade the cooling, but everything else would be fine. You make it sound as if everything Dell makes disintegrates upon first use. Even if everything else was e-waste, as you say, the GPU and CPU alone would be worth it.
