This Moto Edge+ 2022 has a lot of similarities to the non-Plus, but some key differences:
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (2022 flagship processor) vs the Mediatek Dimensity 1050
this has 512GB of storage (!) vs 128GB
USB-C supports HDMI vs doesn't. This is important since both phones have a Desktop mode called Ready For like Samsung's DeX, but the non-Plus version can only do it through Miracast (wireless with lag) or over USB with Windows. Desktop mode (DeX) is probably most useful over HDMI, which the Edge+ can do.
With the phone being locked to Boost makes it very unappealing if you're not planning on staying with them. And Motorola has promised 4 years of updates with bimonthly security updates, but my Edge 2022 is still on Android 12, with Google getting ready to release 14 later this year, and security update still on Dec 2022, despite nearing the end of February.
I, like others, have been burned by Motorola and their update promises in the past.
But man, all that this phone packs for that price is so intriguing.
12 month assuming with $25 plan = $300 + $200 for phone = $500. Might as well buy another flagship at that price.

Obviously, Google started their own phone business, and I'm a Pixel user now, but I'm switching to the S23 Ultra next month because I got a great deal from Google Fi. I'll sell the Pixel 7. Motorola just needs to improve on their updates and security. It's not all about specs. But I do miss the gestures for camera and flashlight.
Overall, even with a $25/month payment ($300 for the year) plus the $200 phone, it's a good deal if you use their service. But don't expect high trade-in values or resale prices when you get the itch to upgrade.
my Moto One action was promised 3 OS updates.
then a year after i bought it and the 1st update, they clarified all moto one actions EXCEPT those built for the US get additional updates.
yes, i can side load the India model's OS but why do i have to do that?
and whats the different between the USA and India models??
anyway, there's a chance after the 1st OS update that you wont get any more.

They *might* give 3 Android updates, but it may take them 5 years.

Edit: Boost doesn't know why it got cancelled. I don't know why it would from my end though.
