I had the Hisense 2.1ch from the $70 deal, and it was absolute garbage, since I needed 2 soundbars (one for my TV, one for my PC) I ordered that one and the $70 TCL 2.1ch from Woot, so I had a very decent reference point.
Some notes from my recent soundbar shopping experience:
The Hisense 2.1ch HS214 was... Let's see, the best to describe it is as "chirping in a very annoying way". It annoyed me within seconds, it's like it's missing a ton of frequency ranges, and only the high pitched sounds play loud and clear. I'm pretty sure there were some mids but they were muted, empty, same as the low frequencies. I'm not touching a Hisense soundbar in the near future unless it is gifted to me, and even then I wouldn't know what to do with it because the built in speakers on my secondary TV are pretty good, it would be a downgrade!
The TCL on the other hand was candy to my ears, every frequency that needed to be there, was present, I think some people would describe it as "full", I tested it on my TV but couldn't get the CEC to work through HDMI Arc (my TV is at fault there), however in the testing I did the sound was amazing although you don't get the home theater experience, you get a very full, rich sound with the only Left/Right channels. I also tested it on my gaming computer, which is where it ultimately ended up living. On first person shooter games I could hear the steps, perfectly moving in the direction matching my screen, and since it's got the subwoofer, I could hear those steps happening at the very low frequencies they play at. Super nice!
Since I still needed a soundbar for my TV, I ended up using the trick (glitch?) on the Samsung website where if you click on the "outlet" hyperlink while having the soundbar in your cart, it dropped the price to $99. It's the 5.0ch but I would describe it as a "3.0ch++" since the surround speakers are weak, facing to the rear of the TV hoping to bounce some sound from the wall (they do a bad job at that) and rarely used. I got it because it is specifically advertised as having a dedicated center channel and it works perfect, no more missing the dialogues, which was the point of that purchase. It's completely missing lower frequencies (bass) but I don't care, I don't play music on my TV, I watch movies so I'm happy. I would describe the audio on this soundbar as nice and crisp, like built-in speakers on steroids, lacking the warmth provided by the lows, but it is a rich sound nonetheless.
What??? Roku has the best interface for smart tvs. Simple, clean, not a bunch of bullshit or a billion ads all over the home screen. Usually just one unobtrusive ad max at the right.
And it's UI is really great and easy to navigate for older people not good with technology.
The worst interface i ever saw was the one that comes with Samsung smart tvs 😵 💫

Care to elaborate
Nothing impressive about this soundbar. TV sound was better than the soundbar's. Got TCL Alto 9+ 3.1.2 instead for some more $. Much better sound and effects. TCL also has inbuilt Fire TV which is a bonus!

Yeah Roku sucks. Worst interface ever. Android/Google tv will take the market share along with Amazon fire tvs. Just a matter of time. Short Roku.
The Fire TV interface has always lagged on me despite trying it on the highest end 4K TV model available, I'm not sure if that goes away with time but it felt clunky. That and not having the dedicated Youtube Music app without some complex sideload always gets me.
Google/Android TV is refined to the point it's gaining traction BUT that is only thanks to Nvidia. Nvidia did all the leg work on their Shield TVs, all Google and the other manufacturers had to do is not F it up, some managed to do it but I have tried some recent Hisense TVs and the implementation is speedy, snappy, clean, sharp. So ultimately you have this interface backed up by 2 giants of the industry (Google/Nvidia), it's almost a miracle they didn't cancel it or scrap and it survived to be what it is today.

I can see how a Hisense TV with microphone that has literal data collection third party apps on it, where you can accidentally agree to their data collection during setup (if you are not careful to decline), can be a point of concern for anyone.
But a soundbar that has no microphone? That doesn't connect to Wifi, and has absolutely no way of spying on you? Make it make sense, even if you are a lunatic.

I wish Google did not remove Miracast. I can get easier screen sharing with Miracast with Windows and Samsung phones. That is kinda why I have stuck with Roku platform and Samsung phones.
I don't think so. Reading through the review, this speaker have been at $35-50 the whole time
You realize there are plenty of Amazon price history trackers out there, right? No need to pointlessly wade through customer reviews just so you can take a guess and claim I'm wrong.
Price history shows this sound bar has been $50 since mid January. Before that it was around $60. If Walmart stays sold out, Amazon's price will return to $50 or more.

Looks like it went OOS at Walmart as I was posting this. Once Amazon notices it's OOS the price will jump back up to whatever it was before.
