Update 2/23/2023: PS4 listing is erroring out. Appears to have been delisted on Play-Asia's site. However, orders that were placed should still have it queued to those orders. Will keep an eye on it for further updates. Switch version is still available.

Update 2/23/2023 (Part 2): Per the Switch listing, it appears that there may be more than one printing of the game, depending on when you ordered it. This means that PS4 copies may still be fulfilled for those currently placed, but whether the PS4 listing opens up again later remains to be seen. Here is what is on the Switch Description:
IMPORTANT: The day 1 print quantity of this game is limited. All orders will be fulfilled but those placed after February 22nd 2023 will be fulfilled from the second print of the game.

Update 2/25/2023: Switch version still available, but the price has increased to $79.99 now.

Update 2/27/2023: Reporting deal as expired. Adding an additional comment in thread at end for context.

For any folks who missed their chance in getting Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster Collection pre-ordered with Square Enix through their online store, you now have another opportunity through a different, albeit legitimate reseller.

The game is priced $74.99 for Playstation 4 or Switch version, due for release at end of April.

Shipping for game will vary in cost for Economy speed shipping - However, for orders at $100 or over, it discounts to free Economy shipping.

Item is NOT guaranteed for day-of-release, but will be delivered soon after.

Switch: https://www.play-asia.com/final-f.../13/70g0qp

For any who ask if Play-Asia is legitimate, yes it is.
Official website: https://www.play-asia.com/
About website (history, links to reviews/ratings, etc): https://www.play-asia.com/info/helpabout

Question: This isn't a discount. Are there any discounts?
Answer: Yes. There is one coupon code available that will help discount a small percentage off of the order. GEMATSU23 will discount the game by 5% off currently. Credit for the code's promotion goes to Gematsu via Twitter post: https://twitter.com/gematsu/statu...5302065152 . Otherwise, there is no other discount available. This is more an 'availability' post for those who want the physical (not digital) edition of the games.

Question: Will I be able to get this game any other way?
Answer: If you want, you can also wait for the digital edition of the games to release for the same $74.99 price tag. But if you want a physical copy, this is currently the best way to get one and NOT pay an exorbitant price tag via scalpers.

Question: This isn't the official US release, is it?
Answer: No, it is an Asia-English copy. Some games sold by Play-Asia are Asia region in terms of release, but they have English text available for playing the game. You will be able to get the game, and play it in English text.

Question: Is the game compatible with my PS4, PS5 or Switch?
Answer: Yes! They work with all PS4, PS5 and Switch consoles sold worldwide! Since this game will not have any DLC coupled with it, you won't have to worry about making a region-specific account to get DLC for it.

Question: What if there's updates/patches available?
Answer: They will still download to your installed copy from online if there is one available. That doesn't seem to be restricted by your console's region.

Play-Asia's been around for a good 20 years now. Well reputed, and I've been a fan of going through them for certain releases of games with English text on them. One of my favorite purchases was the Super Robot Wars series on PS4 (VXT Trilogy, and SRW 30). A bit pricey, but worth if if you want to play some games that haven't had official Western releases but still have English as an option.
That's up to Square Enix. They did an opening of pre-orders on the SQEX store when this was announced. But it was opened up early in the morning in North America...too early. As a result, the pre-orders seemed to go to No Longer Available (some believe scalpers/bots are the cause), and have been in that state since then. There was a wishlist option, but that also has been removed.

Square has been pushing the digital footprint harder over physical with each year. The physical printing was touted as a limited-run idea, which is why it ended so quickly. But not everyone favors digital. I do it myself if the discount is deep, but I try to go physical where possible.

And the good thing about the Pixel Remaster Collection on physical is that you can always sell it off later.

I'm usually not but the fact they finally gave us FF7-12 a few years back I thought we would've been good enough for the pixel remaster too. Thankfully I have my Switch though.

If I'm remembering right, titles like this off of them are in full English and compatible worldwide right?

Only if it has English language support. They do sell titles that do not have that option. But they have English language searchable as an option for PS4 titles, PS5 titles, Switch, etc.

It's a good way to see if a specific game released in the East market has English text included. If it does, you can have it delivered to you and play it on your console. Consoles lately are region-free with physical releases; you just have to ensure it has language support built in for your region.

For the sad little men thumbing this down, standard edition preorders from the SE release are all $200 and up on eBay. $75 is a smokin deal if you're a FF fan.
Not only that. If you also do not want the game later on, you'd be able to still sell it and make money back. For those who want the game physically and want it for as close to the intended price as possible, this is a lifeline to those folks.
