Play-Asia's been around for a good 20 years now. Well reputed, and I've been a fan of going through them for certain releases of games with English text on them. One of my favorite purchases was the Super Robot Wars series on PS4 (VXT Trilogy, and SRW 30). A bit pricey, but worth if if you want to play some games that haven't had official Western releases but still have English as an option.

That's up to Square Enix. They did an opening of pre-orders on the SQEX store when this was announced. But it was opened up early in the morning in North America...too early. As a result, the pre-orders seemed to go to No Longer Available (some believe scalpers/bots are the cause), and have been in that state since then. There was a wishlist option, but that also has been removed.

Square has been pushing the digital footprint harder over physical with each year. The physical printing was touted as a limited-run idea, which is why it ended so quickly. But not everyone favors digital. I do it myself if the discount is deep, but I try to go physical where possible.

And the good thing about the Pixel Remaster Collection on physical is that you can always sell it off later.

It's Square Enix, why are you surprised?

I'm usually not but the fact they finally gave us FF7-12 a few years back I thought we would've been good enough for the pixel remaster too. Thankfully I have my Switch though.

If I'm remembering right, titles like this off of them are in full English and compatible worldwide right?

Only if it has English language support. They do sell titles that do not have that option. But they have English language searchable as an option for PS4 titles, PS5 titles, Switch, etc.

It's a good way to see if a specific game released in the East market has English text included. If it does, you can have it delivered to you and play it on your console. Consoles lately are region-free with physical releases; you just have to ensure it has language support built in for your region.

For the sad little men thumbing this down, standard edition preorders from the SE release are all $200 and up on eBay. $75 is a smokin deal if you're a FF fan.
Not only that. If you also do not want the game later on, you'd be able to still sell it and make money back. For those who want the game physically and want it for as close to the intended price as possible, this is a lifeline to those folks.
