Can I open account now and get my stay from Nov/22 and Jan/22 counted on my account. I know it won't be any closer to the points during the promotion, but it could still be worth something.
You can count Park Hyatt Kyoto as $1200/night (2000/night with suite cert) for 40,000 points,
but comparable hotel nearby that area is pretty much $800/night with kaiseki breakfast/dinner.
Or Alilla Vanata is like $2500/night all inclusive for 40,000 points, but really?
For that price you really should be staying at Aman.
I count it as 2 cents a point, so 3k is pretty much just $60.
Edit: called Hyatt and they said I would get 9000k points for my 7 night stay as long as I have another stay in promotional period
