Any scotch aficionados that can chime in on the quality of this? Was thinking about gifting this to a friend who's a heavy scotch drinker.

He wouldn't be disappointed. This is a fine Speyside at this price point. Common belief is that the distillery is either Macallan or Aberlour.

It says right on the label that's by Alexander Murray, which is a separate distillery (I've had AM's own 18yr bottles). Unless AM is owned my Macallan then I stand corrected.

This thing is amazing! Better than Johnny blue and some of the other scotches out there. It's a single malt, the flavor and nose are amazing. I still have one bottle left and I will be picking up a few more to store.

Alexander Murray is a bottler/distributor, they do not distill or age their own barrels, they source barrels from existing distilleries. It says right on their website [alexandermurray.com].

Sigh. No, it is not. It finishes distilled spirits from others and is a signatory.

So this is a great deal? Or so so?

How do we check inventory?
