I thought GT7 was the be-all-end-all in racing simulators. I was mistaken: https://iracing.com/

It seems like this game is heavy on micro-transactions.
Unfortunate but what game isn't now. Gaming has been ruined. They've raised base game prices and still expect micro transactions.

Good luck with that. PSVR2 is out tomorrow and with the free VR upgrade will most likely go up in price.
Fewer people buying PSVR2 than you might think.. mostly just reviewers. Sony already slashed production in half because of low preorders. Sure, there will be a little blip in sales because of the upgrade announcement, but there still aren't enough quality titles overall, and probably no easy way to ever add PSVR1 backwards compatibility. Those reasons alone will put this in a "wait and see" category for most consumers in 2023. More specifically about GT7, a lot of people waiting for a lower price, simply because of online transactions and other shenanigans. Price will keep dropping as sales fall off.

It is if you want to buy the pricey cars. You can't use cheatcodes like in the old days.

But the gameplay, control and graphics is A+++ on the Dualsense 5

Honestly it's not too bad for me. Haven't spent a dime, Ive gotten many of the cars I wanted. There are a few races to grind and to be honest I still have fun doing it from time to time. You can also sell your used car now. I'm not even a racing fan but I enjoy playing it. The key is to get a steering wheel.

Except you are literally in a thread where it is on sale for almost half of the original price...it'll be $30 in a few months, $20 Black Friday 2023.
