Most people have no idea what the specs.mean in regards to their use. It's mostly a crap shoot for most of us.
I've learned a bit from you all here after years of reading these deals but I'm still not comfortable enough to commit.
Like this deal...it seems great to me. But I've read on other deals that FHD screens suck.
And that Win 11 home sucks huge compared to Pro.
I guess I'll just keep reading deals here until my current computer dies and then grab whatever is the latest SlickDeal that's in my budget and hope for the best.
Edit: The reviews on Target are bizarre at best. Most of them from "paid promoters"? WTH?
And searching for this model # it seems that Target is the only place that has ever sold them?

FHD (full HD) screens are great - who thinks they are not good? FHD = 1920x1080 resolution. On a 15.6" screen that should be fine. What would not be good is 1366x768, which looks pretty bad on a screen this size. Not enough pixels for the display image so it won't look as smooth and sharp as an FHD display.
I think a paid promoter is someone that Target sends products to in exchange for them to provide a review. Now if that is the case, one has to wonder if someone receiving a laptop "for free" is able to provide an objective review. I would recommend checking for reviews from other reputable sites like PC Magazine, Tom's Hardware, Laptop Mag, CNET, etc. They will give an unbiased review and share their true thoughts on the product.
If you are unsure which laptop to buy, these could be good starting points. PC World "Best Laptops 2023 [pcworld.com]" and PC Magazine "Best Laptops for 2023 [pcmag.com]". If slickdeals breaks the links, just use a search engine to find those articles and read them. Read those to see what the reviewers say, what they indicate are good features for certain uses, etc. A little research should give you a better idea of what type of laptop you would like (CPU speed, display, screen size, amount of memory/RAM, SSD (storage) amount, etc.). Hope that helps!
