Repost but your title is much better and that thread has turned into a bunch of whiners complaining about not having a Micro Center nearby and never being able to get in on any of these deals.

Almost as bad as the people who waste our time on these microcenter postings without saying "in store only" in the listing. Really how much effort does it take to add "in-store only" to a listing

Or just assume it's in-store since it almost always is.

Agreed. I don't expect think they will ever be able to compete with Amazon or Newegg on delivery. I.e if it costs Amazon $5 to offer "free" shipping on something it must cost Microcenter $10. After all they only have 25 locations nation-wide and none of those are as big as an Amazon warehouse

So the only worthwhile deals from them can only be inshore, because that's how they save costs and to get you to buy something else...

Micro Center could probably get a good deal on shipping if they really wanted to deal with shipping items from the stores, but that takes a lot of space to do too and why bother when all their best deals sell out directly from their stores anyways?

Other than CPUs and Motherboards, I can't really think of anything that Micro Center is consistently the best price. Most people don't need either of those items and if you do, chances are good you're going to be buying a lot of other items and all those items are where the real margin is.

If I got a Thunderbolt enclosure for this drive, can I expect write speeds of 1,500MBps+? The item page rates it for 1,800MBps but realized those top-end figures don't usually happen.

I am on a M1 MacBook Air which has TB3 and USB4.

Thx
