FYI: the preset pressure is a great feature, and available on the sibling product from Ridgid, which goes on sale for ~$30 every now and again at DTO. It's also a "hybrid" model that comes with a 12v car cigarette lighter adapter, which means that you don't need to keep a battery with it at all when you're on the road. Best of both worlds. If you're already (or only) in the Ryobi ecosystem, the Ryobi dual-inflator model is a step up from the one int he OP, and also offers the option to preset the desired pressure and simply click the "start" button. It also occasionally drops as low as mid $30s, and is much-loved by the SD crowd.

I've got both, and they're great. The press-on chuck of the Ridgid is really nice, whereas the thread-on chuck of the Ryobi is a bit of a hassle. (I just threaded on a quick release chuck; problem solved.) Having the set-and-forget target pressure is a feature that once you have, it's hard to do without!

This is not hackable since it's a single sku (when its a single sku you see the battery kit and tool in the same image). It's generally only hackable when you have to click the free tool button, then choose from a selection. Sometimes adding each individually prorates each price, rendering it hackable, but this is not the case.

I like this inflator but wish it had a lockout on the trigger. It's fairly easy to be activated while bouncing around in my trunk.

Same, but I just keep the battery unplugged on mine. I also wish it had a way to stay on without holding the trigger until it hit a pre-programmed psi but I was able to wrap a small bungee cord around the handle and trigger and just watch it until it hits the target.

This isn't a very slick deal unless you really need all of these items. The battery kit is often sold by HD for this price with more expensive tools included. The inflator is often available for under $15 from Direct Tools or $25 from HD. You can get better deals if you're patient.

I had the same issue with this inflator. Whenever I made a right turn that it would hit something in the trunk and triggered it on one day. I have to unplug the battery to keep it in the car. I actually own 3 other Ryobi inflators (in 2 models) that can set the psi and simply turn it on with a switch. They are bulkier but also stronger. I got each at around $35 when they were on sale. This one is usually $20-$25 when on sale and this deal is so so as the 2pk 4Ah batteries is often at $80.

I use a zip tie. Works great! I have it set so it will slide over trigger when trigger is depressed and stay there but easy to slide off.

The 375 foot pound 1/2 impact wrench for $99 plus the $70 inflator with the preset pressure is a better deal. One less battery and you get an impact wrench.

Have you found a way of not turning the stupid thing on when you are bringing it out to the car? I manage to trigger it multiple times when bringing it out. laugh out loud
