I missed these last time they were FP and settled for a $200 JAXJOX 50lb set from Best Buy (which so far I actually really like), so tempted to return them and grab these instead. My thought was that for movements I need more than 50 lbs for, such as bench and rows, I can add resistance bands, but I haven't tried it yet. Not to mention 80 lbs really is less than I need for bench and some other movements as well, especially if/when I get stronger. Struggling to decide whether 3x the price and the hassle of returning a heavy item is worth it Confused

How do you get to $596? I just ordered these and it came out to $620 plus tax.

Strange, for the ones that start at $745 I'm getting that -$149 = $596 (plus tax).

Don't forget that you can get the stand as well with the discount. I just got these recently from Saks. If you have any questions let me know.
I ordered them on a Thursday night and they arrived 2 days later. they shipped from about 20 miles from where I live.

What's your initial impression on the build quality? Any concerns with the plastic internals?

Yes, I'd be concerned if they were dropped on a hard surface regularly that over time something might break.

these are fine if you have the stand for them. if you want to dump dumbbells hard on the ground get something else though

I just got a pair of these 2 weeks ago. They're awesome. Manufacturer explicitly says these are not for dropping.

I have these with the stand and they work well. I don't drop them though. The quick select is very handy, and the grip is nice. This is a better price than what I paid for it all. They save a lot of space as well.
