In for 1. My first flat screen i ever bought in 2011 died last weekend. Back then that 55in LG Cost me $1100. It was 1080p and had a new tech integrated called "wifi".
To replace it with better specs and <$300 seems like robbery. Amazing

TCL works great for my needs. Not the best but definitely budget friendly. I wish it could be brighter but that's about it. Price is usually in this range, so not a great deal by any means.

How so? These are lower end models, and average 4.7 stars at any reputable online merchant. They are great for what they are meant for and represent probably the best product you can find at sub $300. Roku is also one of the better interfaces for a smart TV

i don't think you'd spend $300 on a tv and expect hdmi 2.1 with a 60hz panel

Please be aware of the relatively narrow viewing angle of the TCL LED tv's. So you will be disappointed if you use it in a room which requires a wide viewing arrangement. Once you step outside the view angle, the colors will fade noticeably. In our case, we have been quite pleased with this tv which we use in our dining room. Nice improvement from our previous 48 in LED tv which was not HDR nor 4K. But we quickly realized that not every seat would have the best viewing experience. For most it would also be a good choice for bedroom viewing.
