Definitely two very different machines. Despite its amazing battery life, I can't stand Mac OS, so it would be an easy pick for me to choose Windows. If I were still in school, the styus on Surface Pro 9 would also be a no-brainer. I love using Onenote.

This deal has been around on and off since Black Friday, I think. Its not a bad deal, plus an extra year of warranty(totaling to 3) + accidentals for 99$ is pretty good. But according to reviews the keyboard does not charge the slim pen. I would've purchased this if it was available in the blue or green.

Nice device, but it's pricey. If I'd to spend this much, I'd go with MacBook Pro. Yes, I understand the differences.
don't worry, someone will make sure to question your sanity Wink

FYI, this comes with the "Keyboard Type Cover," not the "Surface Pro Signature Keyboard." The Signature version has the integrated space that holds the pen (also this bundle doesn't include the pen).

Still TU for a great price but if you want the full, latest and greatest Surface Pro experience you'll need to buy those accessories separately.

Correct me if wrong, I believe the pro 9 has no headphone jack output, you have to go with wireless headphones.

You're correct. They removed the headphone jack. (Because, you know, Apple did the same, so it must be the "cool" thing to do.) They said it's to save space. But the design is the same as the Surface Pro 8, so there is just emptiness on the inside where it's supposed to be. laugh out loud If they had given us another USB-C sport in that empty space, I'd be all for it. But they didn't...

The storage can be upgraded, although it only takes the 2230 not the more available and cheaper 2280.

My experience with the surface was not really good, it gets really warm, and battery life will reduce within a year, I would rather get a Surface laptop better value for the money, which last much longer than Surface and much better battery life.

While not a "tablet", I like the Lenovo ThinkBook better at $700.
2-in-1 convertible
- tablet mode
- tent mode
- laptop mode

@ 3.09 lb
@ Ryzen 7 vs i5

I have the model from 2 years ago.
I love the tent mode to do presentations or watch video.
You can hang it off the dash.

(-) con: no longer has a stylus; older models had one, so IDK if this model even allows for stylus

Wow, definitely this Lenovo is a much better value than the Surface Pro. I have had experience with the Surface Pro 5 and the Lenovo IdeaPad, and believe it or not, the Lenovo has much better quality, despite the fact that the IdeaPad is considered midrange for Lenovo

While a headphone jack is always a nice thing, with this model having Thuderbolt, if for some reason you have to have more than 2 things "wired" & needing wired headphones, Thunderbolt allows for multi-port hubs, unlike USB-C.
