The 6GB version has been as low as $275-285 with coupons in the past (without ID.me discount). I'd definitely pay the $50 or so for the extra 2GB if those deals come back. Not paying $100 more, but also not going to buy a tablet with such a nice display but with only 4GB RAM.
6GB model is $55 more than the 4GB with GREETINGS10 and EXTRA5 coupons.

Thoughts on the price difference for the extra RAM?
I've looked at these tablets and I agree with others about the RAM. These companies keep making great tablets but limiting their potential with weak processors and/or low RAM models. I think 6GB RAM should be standard for this model. There are plenty of other tablets with 3GB-4GB of RAM offered for half this cost to see higher end stuff limit themselves like Lenovo is doing.

Off-topic of this specific tablet (and a general warning about buying from the company), I tend to enjoy Lenovo products but I just can't make myself buy anything direct from them (or maybe at all) after my latest purchase. A few months ago, I ordered a Duet 3 Chromebook from them. I had to order directly through Lenovo since that is the only way to get the 8GB RAM version (other retailers only sell the 4GB model for some unknown reason). I was excited to get this product in hand but was quickly hit with my first disappointment. Despite their website saying the product was, "in stock" when placing the order, AND after contacting customer support before I even placed my order to verify that I would receive my Lenovo member's 2-day expedited shipping, I was given a lengthy delivery timeline. My excitement for the product won me over and I decided to wait. Long story short, I received probably 10-15 changes in the delivery timeline during my wait. Customer service was no help at all and every time I reached out, they were some of the most frustratingly care-free and inept help I've ever received through customer care. I would be told different things by different reps within the course of just a few minutes. I had some customer care reps hang up on me or end chats after I expressed frustration or ask to speak to a supervisor. They worked very hard to avoid answering my questions abd would ignore my requests to be transferred to someone else.

All of that aside, 1.5 months after I placed the order, my product finally arrived. This Chromebook has been out less than a year but constantly sells out because of its popularity. It has high reviews and is honestly a really great device.... BUT, I was shocked to learn that there is a major battery drain issue with the Duet devices. So much so that I would lose up to 40% overnight with all apps closed and the Chromebook in standby mode. This was widespread and known amongst owners and forums but not discussed in reviews for the product. Lenovo only just pushed a partial fix for the issue about two weeks ago after the product has been on the market for 1.5 years. It fixed the battery drain perfectly but ONLY when it is connected to the magnetic keyboard and in Chromebook mode. The second you detach the screen and it enters tablet mode, the battery drain issue is just as bad as ever.

This is a long-winded post and I apologize. I really just wanted to convey that anyone buying Lenovo products (especially directly from the company) should go in with eyes wide open. They make good stuff but will also lie to customers and do not support many products like they should. My opinions of them have become tarnished recently to the point that I don't know if I will continue to purchase their brand in the future. Hopefully others have better experiences but just know that there is a large population of Lenovo customers that they continue to let down.

Is it just me or is the only difference to the step-up model an extra 2GB of RAM? For another $100...

Granted I haven't used a Lenovo Android tablet in almost a decade but the last time I bought one, I definitely regretted it. It started running extremely slowly within a short amount of time and there were literally zero updates to the device. Ended up just using it as a clock on my nightstand. I'm waiting until the Pixel tablet or the OnePlus tablet comes out to see what they offer

Saw that. I'm all for maxing out as much RAM as possible, but 2GB for $100? Couldn't find any other upgrades that justify it.

OLED really better than LCD?
How about Lenovo Freestyle? Is this usable? I thought this might be good to be my 2nd monitor for my laptop.
I might buy if the 6GB version go on sale for 249

Not sure what you'd need more than 4 gigabytes of RAM for on an android tablet with this type of processor. It's only gonna be good for web browsing and media consumption, of which it will be fantastic thanks to the AV1 hardware decoder, 120hz OLED display, and quad speakers. If I wasn't planning to get a Ryzen laptop and just carry batteries to match this things battery life, I'd consider this a decent deal

Yes. Own both. It's not even close. Better performance on the pro in 99% of cases even with the lesser ram. Significantly better audio The OLED is 120hz as well vs a good but not great 60hz lcd.

I don't think the P11 Plus will come back to stock. Judging by their current stock level and how they went on sale lately, I am fairly sure Lenovo are not making anymore P11 plus.
