Just a heads up for any newcomers - you can only cancel by phone - during certain hours, even though their call center is overseas. They will reset your rate without advance notice and you'll get at least one giant charge of $40/mo before you can stop them.

The very worst people in the world to deal with.

And when your call does get through to cancel, they'll start making counteroffers to continue your subscription at a "lower-than-full-retail" price. But not as low as what you're canceling. So just cancel.
Don't worry, similar deals will come up—and soon after!

just use a privacy.com account or a virtual card you can control. your time is too important to deal with their shannigans when it comes to cancelling

Free via library logins. Why do people pay for digital versions of newspapers?

Because they don't want to go mess with library signups. Most folks don't use the local library.

However, you have an excellent point. Digital books, digital newspapers, all of it is accessible through many library systems.
