There is more to a monitor than those 2 specs...

This is a good price. A Dell Ultrasharp 30" 60Hz 4K IPS monitor is around $800. I've always bought Dell Ultrasharp, but at this low price, the LG has me thinking about switching. For me, text quality and color accuracy are more important than refresh rate. If you need a higher refresh rate, a VA monitor is probably a better choice.

You can google VA vs IPS. They are different panel. I'm not a fan of VA at all. VA maybe good for gaming. But I mainly use monitor for programming.

It's off from Costco website. It still lives in Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BCR862L

But I will go with this one, one model year newer, with freesync support. It's more like $100 for a more flexible stand and few more year warrenty.

Also, how does it compare to the VA panel one with regular stand?

I see VA panel and missing USB-C. But price is $300.

Does it cost the manufacturer that much to make a 75hz refresh?

Don't have much faith in the monitor companies after all the price gouging scandals either.
IPS monitors have a slower refresh rate. If you need a fast refresh, VA or TN panels are what you want. If you want color accuracy and high viewing angles, IPS are what you want. $400 for a quality 32" IPS monitor is a bargain.

VA has much higher contrast, so movies etc will arguably look better. I would think general coding would be fine on VA, its only real downsides are smearing with fast motion and viewing angles.

IPS is best for color-sensitive work.

+1, IPS for coding is the right choice. I have ghosting even with the scrolling on a Samsung VA, I hate it.

Every time under a monitor deal. When will trolls start to understand that refresh rate is not the only spec that defines a monitor, and people use monitors for things other than gaming
