There is more to a monitor than those 2 specs...

This is a good price. A Dell Ultrasharp 30" 60Hz 4K IPS monitor is around $800. I've always bought Dell Ultrasharp, but at this low price, the LG has me thinking about switching. For me, text quality and color accuracy are more important than refresh rate. If you need a higher refresh rate, a VA monitor is probably a better choice.

You can google VA vs IPS. They are different panel. I'm not a fan of VA at all. VA maybe good for gaming. But I mainly use monitor for programming.

The X32 sucks! I have them at work. I have gone through 3 defective ones. In my experience they have problem with picking up signal on Display port, after the computer goes to sleep (sometimes picking it up at all).
I would stay away from those.

I have had LG monitors at home for years and they are much more reliable
pretty sure HP uses LG for the panel (along with another panel mfg) so you're still getting LG (sometimes) when buying HP lmao...

Is this a newer model? Is it better than 32UN880-B model? Are they comparable or different models?

They are pretty much the same, you are paying extra $100 for costco for egostand, other than I did not see any differences. LG's Ultafine line monitors are fantastic, only drawback is 60Hz Refresh Rate, I wish it was higher.
I have the same exact monitor, but 27 inch, and I use for both productivity and a little bit gaming.

Does anyone know if I can use the USB-A ports for ethernet, if I want to use the USB-c directly connect to my MBP M1?

Heads up if anybody orders directly from LG: they charge an 8% restocking fee on all returns. I previously bought this monitor from LG instead of Amazon to get a higher cash back, but was disappointed in the noticeably lower PPI when compared to my 27" 4k monitor and returned it with $38 less in my pocket.
I definitely agree on 4k 32" monitors. I have a BenQ IPS 4k 32" model which has great color reproduction, but it always feels either too close (the sides are useless) or too far away. I think a 27" or a 40" version would have been better.

I look forward to the curved IPS 5K x 2K monitors like the LG 40WP95C-W coming down in price. That way the sides would become useful again.

Most of Dell's better monitors use LG panels anyways, since they don't manufacture their own. Their crap monitors in their budget laptops, etc are manufactured by cheap Chinese brands. I'm not positive on this particular panel, but it's more than likely an LG. A quick Google search can probably tell you.

If I go for this, should I get warranty?

VA with good MPRT is good. I'd say try it but one thing that sucks about buying monitors is that you kind of can't...

is ips really big difference with monitors?
Apparently it's $100 difference with this monitor. I have the VA, I don't mind it, I can't tell unless there's a really big difference.

I have nvidia gsync. This monitor is free sync. Would this be a concern? I don't know the difference, seeking advice.

I hate to ask but is this much better than the x32 HP? Considering it comes down to 230
Quote from bargain bug :
That was a several months ago at BB and Amazon. It even went down to $200 last October. Right now, it's $265 NIB at Amazon with Simpleworks as a seller.
The HP X32 is back at $230 right now at BB and Ebay.
