The green is so dark its almost black - looks good with a black band - got this a couple of weeks ago - great deal

I could have bought any color I wanted around Black Friday. They were all going for $279, but I think those were not the cellular version. I thought about getting one, but I never pulled the trigger.

Undesirability is a personal preference issue.

I'm fine with the green, because I bought this same green Apple Watch about a month ago.

If somebody has greenphobia, then I suppose they can always spend $50 more if having another color is that important to them. To me, it wasn't, but others may have a different opinion of course.

How much more of a battery drain does the cell version? I don't plan on activating the cellular feature but don't want to sacrifice batter life.

yes...just confirmed only apple makes black bands. Couldnt find a single black band from a generic manufacturer on Amazon

So even if you buy a generic black band, let's say it will cost you $20 for a decent quality. So this 'green' watch will cost you $300. I'd spend $30 more and get any other color with original apple band (incl. special Nike version). Assumption is no one will buy green band if you try selling it.
