Roomba is unrivaled in carpet cleaning, especially with deep cleaning of things like embedded sand, and it does that with lower-than-average suction power thanks to its dual brush roller design. So if you have mostly carpeted floors, it is worth waiting for S8. Roomba's J7+ Combo is good but still can't beat Roborock's auto cleaning station. And while Roomba is a US company, their response to leaks of photos taken in people's homes by J7 during testing leaves a bad taste against them.

Wait until S8 comes out. Roomba's monopoly (Patent) on dual rollers is over in March 2023.

Bought the s7 during Xmas sale. We have solid floors so no need for dual brush rollers. It works really well. We run it 3x a week so floors are always clean. Mopping is nice. Use that once a week. No complaints as of yet.

that's odd, I just called and asked. they wouldn't price match when Amazon had the $340 coupon. But they did when the retail price dropped to $1059.
