You can actually put the 2 large units in the space before any assembly and it will give you good idea whether to keep it or return it !!
1) Is your table uneven/wobbly?
2) Did your patio set come with bubble wrap around the actual main two pieces or just their legs? Mine came with only bubble wrap around the legs and the units sat in the cardboard box.
3) Did you see any way to rotate the chaise lounger portion? In this configuration pictured, it seems like it's not actually possible to prop up the chaise lounger portion: https://images.thdstati

2) Bubble wrap only around legs
3) I put it opposite to the one showed in pics. One piece is regular one and the second one is lounger. So depending upon which side you put it , lounger changes the way back support comes up.
