This reel for example was $5 at my local store. I would use this as an example of if this reel is $5 at your local store, there's a solid chance there's a ton more for 75% off or so. YMMV as only 1 store near me had this kind of clearance.

Attached a receipt if that helps for more brickseek, but there were just too many to list out. NONE of these were marked clearance, and I used the Walmart app to scan each individually to determine price. They were just in the normal fishing aisle and not the clearance aisle

This is a throwaway reel, but it's a pretty good throwaway reel. I own a couple of them as throw aways for my grand kids to use. If they drop it over the side, I've lost a $20 reel but I haven't screamed at my grandkids, which is more than priceless. You can tell the quality of a reel by the number of ball bearings. A high quality reel will have 6 or 7 and have a pretty high price tag. These have 2, which is better than some junk reels. At the tackle shop I worked at after I retired from my day job, we sold them as a combo with rod and spooled for free, to tourists for $19.99. We still had a 50 percent margin. I always told them it was a one season reel.

If you hunt or fish- definitely worth taking a pass in the clearance section or hunting section. It'll be impossible to research online or on SD since Walmart has a million items. But lots of big stuff for 75% of the other week. Got an $80 combo for lime $15. Got a $200 ladder stand for $50.

I went to my local Walmart at Delta Shores in Sacramento and found a 6.5ft Shimano 2 piece spinning rod for $5.00. I didn't bother with the other brands there. Happy Hunting!!!

My Walmart had some Berkley PowerBait Pre-Rigged Swim Shads in 2" and 3" size for $1.00 and $0.75 per pack of 5 (yes, the larger size was cheaper). Also found a pack of 7" Power Worms and an Ozark Trail lipless crankbait, both of these were $2.50 each. I found these on a clearance shelf near the hardware section. I didn't have time to check out the fishing section (I was with the wife), will have to go back again.

As the OP said, use the Walmart app and scan the barcode to find out the actual prices. Most of the stuff I found had yellow clearance stickers on them but the actual price was lower than the price on the stickers.
