The early PCIe 5 models that are launching now are a bit faster in sequential operations, but no different in the low queue-depth random workloads that are typical for consumers. To take advantage of PCIe 5, you would have to be using Ryzen 7000 or Intel 13th gen to function at that bandwidth, but you won't see any improvement in performance. What matters is the flash memory, the controller, and the onboard DRAM not the PCIe generation. Even then, from a normal user experience perspective, you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference between good and crummy NVMe drives without benchmarking tools.
