Almost bought this the other day but was a bit concerned about the lack of support along the side board. If you're a bigger guy (~230lb or more) I'd be wary. Otherwise great deal.

My only concern is the reviews stating their mattress hangs off the end of the bed if it is too tall to fit under the gap that is under the headboard.

Do these frames with "built-in box springs" actually feel as good as a real box spring? I know opinions will vary but it seems like those springy wood slats would not be.

Tempted but I have concerns about my mattress sliding away from the headboard and how low it is to the ground; just low enough for dog toys to roll under there, not tall enough to get under there and get them beyond arm's length.

Two of the support slats have double sided tape to help prevent the sliding but I don't see that being incredibly effective. I was able to forcefully slide the mattress when I was placing it on the tape and it stuck a bit but wasn't as strong as having a full footboard. That said I prefer the look without the footboard now as it gives the appearance of a larger space in front of the bed. We will see how long that lasts once everything starts falling off the end of the bed!

Thanks for the response. I saw a review talking about double sided tape, I wasn't sure if that was their solution or the product. My current bed has no footboard and I do like it but thinking just a small lip around the base where the bed sits could prevent a mattress from slipping.

Overall, do you like the bed? $200 is a pretty good price for a king frame, but do you thinkit is worth it? pros/cons?
