This looks like a good deal for the trimmer, blower, and battery/charger.

Yes, good deal. The blower is weak. We use it to blow out the garage, which seems to attract leaves. Probably fine for a small yard, but I wouldn't want to use it routinely for work that takes more than a few minutes. Also, it'll eat the 2ah battery in about 10 mins on "6". I do really like that it's a switch rather than a trigger, so you don't hold pressure the entire time.

The trimmer is decent but finicky. Specifically, carefully rewind the spool with no overlap to save lots of frustration.

However, the name brand battery is $80, so great deal if you know what your are getting.

Note: I have 3 or 4 other 40v GW tools and love all the rest. These are OK but have the faults noted. (Also, I have 2 acres and 600 feet of fence so others might not find those faults as much of an issue.)

I have a small yard but having the 2ah battery die in 10 minutes makes me wonder if it's worth. It's my first time having to buy landscaping equipment.

Blower is weak. The trimmer is garbage. That auto feed is annoying. Greenworks has better 40V models of both.

If you're not already in it, I would avoid the Greenworks 40V line. The company seems more interested in pushing people toward their other voltages: 24V, 60V, and 80V. I'm looking at brushless tools as an indicator of newer, better supported equipment and not what they were selling 10 years ago. They currently advertise 28 brushless 40V tools, which have rather spotty availability. At the same time they advertise 47 of the brushless 24V tools, 49 of the brushless 60V tools, and 43 of the brushless 80V tools.

There are discounts on some of the Greenworks Pro 80V items as well. I have the 80V string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer that I think work great. I have one 2.5Ah battery that I'm happy with. Lasts over a half hour after more than a year of use.

Don't do it …bought this combo as a new home owner and it sucks. Blower is weak, battery dead before even small job is finished and the trimmer has a crappy head made of plastic that is not replaceable if it goes, and it will go! Poor customer service and no replacement parts! Never again anything from this company!
