IMO, Windows 11 is fantastic IF, and only If, you do some under-the-hood adjustments. If not, it's a horrible and invasive experience.

Windows 11 Debloat for killing telemetry and other garbage. StartAllback to get pretty much any version of the Windows Start Menu and taskbar that you want (except 8, cause F that). Throw in a modified version of Windows Subsystem for Android to have the Google Play Store and the ability to sideload APKs and I'm happy as a pig in shit.

After doing these things, it's my favorite version of windows so far. I like tinkering with things, so these extra steps are just fun for me, but for someone that doesn't understand these extra steps, sucks for them.

Now, if only the boneheads at Microsoft could figure out how to not have three different settings menus for everything...

Woot has 3rd party vendors sometimes, any way to check if this is one of them? This price seems low to be legit

You can still install Win7 and do a free upgrade to Win10. No need to buy licenses especially for an ad supported telemetry product that is making money off your usage

Good price from a legit seller (aka not a gray market key)

Since it's not a grey market key seller, there's little risk to buy and stash the keys for later.

Is this OEM or Retail?

Retail ver can be moved to another PC.

Never knew that - listing doesn't say anything about a 3rd party seller though but might keep an eye out on the woot discussion to see if the admins there respond (if it doesn't sell out)

Comments on woot say
"Based on the $199 markdown that the page had before it was removed, I'm guessing that this is the retail license key."

"My understanding is that for custom PC builders it no longer matters. All OS licenses you can buy are now tied to your MS account, which renders them all Retail — you can activate them on one machine at a time, they aren't locked into the first hardware you put them on. You can't take the Windows off your Dell computer or whatever, but otherwise if you're buying it, it's Retail, not OEM."

Can't you get the accessibility version for free? Or is that option no longer available? Why would anyone pay for a key...

Nice. I wanted to try this out to make Win11 run on 2GB of RAM or comfortably with 4GB.

I am not aware of any method to identify 3rd party listings on woot!

Good luck!

This was true before Amazon bought woot. Not any more. All woot is now is Amazons dumping ground for items that are not moving well and taking up precious warehouse space.

I hate to say it but I have bought around 20 windows 10 pro keys and never had a issue with gray market even 3 years later with hardware upgrades etc as they will just bind to your Microsoft account if you login. I have a hard time paying retail for something that should in my mind be free with how much money they make data mining and marketing off your windows installs. End of rant lol.

Anyone know if Win11 Pro can be dual installed on a M1 Macbook Pro 256GB, or not enough space for a partition?

Apple chips (M1/M2) can't do Boot Camp. You will need something like Parallels
