Well, you can wait for a 20% off coupon and get the haul master for 56 bucks. It is really built well. The flip up feature is really not a thing. I got the harbor freight separate flip up hitch piece and used it once... I just bring it into a hotel room if I'm out or leave it on in the woods. The hitch lock is 12 bucks no coupon. Lashing straps are 4 bucks. I prefer bungies... The hitch stabiilzer is 13 bucks (NOT NEEDED). The net is 7.50...

So, For under a hundred bucks, you can get it all at Harbor Freight 110 regular pricing at HF. I cut a piece of plywood for a "floor on it if I need it...

You can get a flip up version with a 750 lb rating for 130 without a coupon or the Aluminum version with a 500 lb rating for 110 without a coupon. Both are like four stars plus rated with four figures of reviews. The aluminum one is nice AND light...

So, if you wait, for a coupon take another 20% off the main item...
Have this, used it probably around a dozen times over the past 3 years. Don't really have any complaints, and it doesn't look to be breaking down anywhere. I keep it stored inside at all times and it's seen just a little bit of rain outside while driving (no snow here). I've loaded up a good 250lbs or so and had no issues. Always remember to load the heaviest stuff in the car and use this for the lighter things!
How does it compare to the $70 HFT Haul-master carrier? Is $50 worth the net, straps and lock?

Amazon reviews look a little rough...think I'll pass and wait for an Aluminum one.

I would check and compare with Harbor Freight if you have one in your area. They have lot cheaper and as durable options

Good advice but I did not see one quite as large there. They have a smaller one for 70 bucks and you may be able to apply a coupon to it too.

Seems like a cargo carrier with a bunch of extra stuff to inflate the price. I have the MaxxHaul and definitely recommend that one for $40 cheaper.

I want a carrier like this but i also have limited indoor space to store it, so i would prefer an aluminum one. Harbor freight's (20 inches shorter than this "https://www.harborfreight.com/500...92655.html " Is aluminum OR i have found Pakmul out of Texas but those cost like $700 for thier cheapest. Has anyone found and can share an aluminum model they have?

I understand aluminum can also rust* but its not nearly as bad as steel where i would be concerned about the integrity over time. Thanks!
