$500pp/night isn't that bad, especially when it's all inclusive. On these islands, it doesn't take much to rack up a a $2-300 bill on just dinner alone without alcohol. You can't just walk down to Mc Donald's and grab a Big Mac when you're feeling hungry.
The Maldives definitely is one of the bucket list places for most people, and for good reason. The atolls there are spectacular, and the snorkeling and diving are second to none. Most of these resorts will likely not pack everyone in like sardines, so it'll still feel intimate and not crowded even at full capacity (aka: Waikiki as a comparison)
There are just SO MANY alternatives that come in closer to half this cost or less.

I'd try Conrad Bora Bora before this deal if you can still use credit card redemptions especially if you're playing 2 player (1x free night on 2x Hilton card on standard night + nearly 1x free night from signup bonus x2 points).

You dont need a partner. Dont wait. I traveled 5 months solo through Ph, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Some of my best travel experiences were traveling solo. Sure, sometimes it gets boring, but the other times make up for it.
