Be careful!!!! I ordered this through buydig and got a solar NOT pro solar. I returned it for a refund. There is a thread that has the deets here in SD
Boys and girls: this is not a smartwatch nor a golf watch.
This is a fitness watch with some smart functions.
It's like crying about a sale on a Mack Truck and saying "this isn't very fast and gets lousy gas mileage."
If you want to chat with your friends thru your watch via TXT or play video games on your watch or have touch screen with pink colors then look elsewhere.
These are for athletes and outdoors people; training, exercise and adventure.
If you don't understand why a smartwatch would cost this much with mediocre capabilities then grab a Fitbit or Apple Watch and carry on. If you worry about how many steps you get per day, then Garmin ain't for you.
I agree this is a good deal for a fenix 6 pro solar as I had purchased my fenix 6 pro (not-solar) for $300 over this past holiday season and for $50 dollars more, I would've grabbed this instead (I do a lot of outdoor activities thus the value of solar outweighs the cost).
One thing that I wanted to point out for golfers is although yes it has golf capable features, it is missing some of the newer/touch screen (fenix 6 is not a touch screen) features, Most importantly, the virtual caddie is still not available on 6 but is now on 7. At this point, I am compelled to wait till a deal comes out for the 7 so that I can upgrade with this feature. Otherwise I love my fenix 6, best smart watch I've had thus far with 14d battery life. It's difficult to find a watch to fit my needs. I don't see myself using any other watch in the future if Garmin continues with their data driven features and innovations.

I watched that process and I think this one is different (meaning that it is actually the PRO version). The bezel on that one was silver and I suspected was a non pro solar version so didn't order it..... sure enough it wasn't a pro (could have been you that confirmed that in the other thread).
According to this picture, this one has the black bezel that would be correct for the Pro Solar.

I bought mine for about this price last year. It was a refurb. I'm very happy with it. I upgraded from a Fenix 3HR Saphire. I was worried that the screen on the solar wasn't saphire, however, I have dinged this watch against many hard objects and I still have no scratches on the face. Also, I prefer mine not to be touch-screen.
I use mine for backpacking, skiing, running & cycling.

Cheers. Love my 6 Pro.

I use the Garmin 755. I think it has been replaced by the Garmin 255.
