The IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs offer free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals.

I've used FreeTaxUsa for years, they have no income restriction on the free version and no problem handling my only slightly complicated taxes (and judging from all the stuff I skip that doesn't apply to me I'd like to see a list of what it isn't equipped to handle).
The reality is most people filing online have fairly basic returns otherwise they're already paying a pro to do it.
So that was kinda my point...if filing online not sure why this is a deal for anyone unless someone can explain how 50% off at Liberty offers something superior to free at FreeTaxUsa or IRS.gov (if within the income limit which at least half the country is).
