I built mine on a flat carport and the roof still didn't line up well even after they sent me a replacement. Other than that it's relatively solid and pretty easy to build. I built it by myself in 8-10 hours.

The monthly Costco book is now a "front page deal" on Slickdeals?

What a joke! This site has completely gone to hell since it was bought by Goldman Sachs.

...and the Costco cult goes thread to thread posting about unrelated crap in every SD thread. One would be hard-pressed to find a single thread without cult members nongermane crap post. Disgusting.

I second this assertion—and boycott Costco for life.

How about you just avoid these threads and go on about your life?

I am with you, this site has become useless with people posting "Non Deals At All" other than give me reputation with non deals at all posts!!!
Yeah, I miss the days of price mistakes, big after-season closeouts, major Black Friday deals. Feels like most of the site these days is just sponsored posts from SD staff mixed with not-a-deal posts like this.

Though the big 50% off Verizon Xbox thread last week was pretty epic. Wish we were still getting more content like that.

Is this supposed to be a good deal with Zenni and eye buy direct existing lol

WAREHOUSE-ONLY
BUY ONE PAIR of prescription eyeglasses AND GET $50 OFF EACH additional pair of prescription eyeglasses.
Costco now accepts most vision insurance plans. Not valid with any other promotion. Selection varies by location. Current prescription required. Order transaction must occur on the same day. EACH pair of eyeglasses (new frame and lenses) must be for the same individual.

We bought our first sets from Costco just in the past few months. We were pretty routine Zenni people, with 4 people in glasses, and 2 kids - where their Rx and heads change all the time so it doesn't make sense to blow $$ on expensive glasses.

I'd say Costco was about half the price of the optometrist, so $150-$200 per pair. That's around double what Zenni would be. That said Costco doesn't have the bazillion options (nickel and dime) that Zenni does. Oh you want thinner lenses? More $$. You want special coating? More $$. They just include a lot of that stuff as standard, with the exception of transitions that is. You're allowed one replacement of lenses due to scratches in the first year (they don't advertise this it seems).

The only trick to online glasses is getting your PD right, otherwise the glasses will give you headaches and hurt your eyes, and of course you can't exactly try glasses on before purchasing them.

All that said I think I'll probably go with Costco in the future over Zenni.

Sam's sucks ass. I saw a bunch of deals for me: dirt cheap Frontline for tick season, gonna load up on k-pods, time to de-wrinkle my face with the Neutrogena wrinkle repair now that it's almost stopped raining and Ill be going in public again, and stock up on air purifiers for fire season.
I agree with you 100% Costco is light-years better than Sam's. Not even close

Spent $534 at Costco, saved a ton on toilet paper, cat litter (limit 3 those bastards!), and sockeye salmon!
