These set off my air purifiers to jet engine mode. Apparently all ultrasonic ones put lots of particulates into the air. Our evaporative humidifier doesn't cause any issues. Sadly a return to Costco for me.

Extremely easy to clean. I used to clean them once a week, but for the last month I haven't touched it and there are no issues. I have only used filtered water from my refrigerator. I'm sure a brita or zero water pitcher would be good too.

had to dig but it IS a top fill model. once you get a top fill humidifier you'll never go back. 👍

had to dig but it IS a top fill model. once you get a top fill humidifier you'll never go back. 👍

I purchased two of these and two of the miro humidifiers. Tested both of them out and decided to keep these levoit humidifiers. Both easy to clean but we prefer the levoit as it has better controls, an easy to fill top, and no dust flying in as there is a lid. Noticed dust and other particles getting into the water for the miro.

Interesting - I was hoping to use this as a giant "diffuser" for oils when kids have stuffy noses.

I have this one. It come with two types of mist, cool or warm. I thought the warm mist is the evaporative one you mentioned. Maybe i was wrong?

Yep, we used ultrasonic humidifiers for a while, even filled them with reverse osmosis water to reduce what ends up in the air, but the filter in our air handler (16"x11"x4" MERV 11) would get so clogged in just a few weeks that even with outside temps barely at 32 degrees the system would run on auxiliary heat very frequently.

Switched to evaporative humidifiers and never looked back.

been very happy with ours, and the app is great. can trigger it on and off, and set schedules, so ours goes on at 7pm and seeks 50% humidity, then shuts off at 7am.

Get an air washer. It's economical and absolute almost no maintenance. Venta makes great one.
