Got these on last sale. As a home hobby car guy, these things are great. My two project cars have spent extended time in the air to replace entire rear dif and suspension. Did my kids entire exhaust system. Lifted my 1500 CrewCab to replace front bearings. Its paid for itself.
I'm scared of buying these as I have a polished floor but I want them so bad. I have read reports of these sliding and even shooting out from under the car when used on a slippery floor. Trying to find a way to anchor these.
Same! Gone are the days of seeing these on sale at Costco for $900.
Thirded (I didnt continue through comments to verify)
Home Depot had a deal two years ago during Christmastime with the wall storage and suv posts for about this or less. I waited every day this past Shristmas for them to run it back, they did not.
If we wait too much longer we'll have to pay full price

I had one, used it a few times and was good but IMO a little PITA to setup and etc and plus each weights 100lbs keep that in mind.
I ended up selling mine and looking to buy something I can hopefully leave out and drive over it and/or something like the maxjax or a scissor one.

Get a few horse stall mats from tractor supply to put under the stands. They won't be sliding on those. If you're really worried put some spray adhesive on them to really hold them down.

I think those were the older versions that did not lift as high as the new models! The new models were more expensive that came out last year or 2 ago.

Not sure if it would work on this scale, but I use non-slip drawer mats below my plastic car ramps to prevent slip of the ramp on an epoxy coated floor. A friction modifier.
