Definitely NOT worth it. I've had for a yr and the perks and discounts are almost non existent. No good deals on hotels outside of the US. I'm cancelling"
Puuuleeze. I've left many Trip Advisor reviews through the years, and had a pretty high traveler rating at one point, but I've naturally moved away from using Trip Advisor in recent years after their promotional (paid) reviews started taking over. With all the options available online now, TA just doesn't seem to be as honest and relevant anymore.
I refuse to believe $99 will pay for itself more than joining a hotel chain loyalty program (for free). ...in fact, a $45 annual AAA membership will provide better benefits, and will be guaranteed to work in more places, hotels, attractions, etc, for at least a 10% discount. Plus all the protection benefits for your car, like free towing, emergency gas, flat tire fixes, etc - plus you can actually call a toll free number to talk to a AAA person who can help you plan travel and find deals.
If the incentive for saving 10% on hotels and attractions is what is drawing your interest, I would stay very far away from this one.

EDIT: I'd like to formally announce my own brand new subscription service, called "You Idiot", where for $10/mo I will degrade you for signing up for unnecessary subscription services. Guaranteed to pay for itself within 12 months.
