Funko is in such a world of hurt that they are putting products in the dump as its more cost effective than selling them. It's pretty crazy the position the company is in.

Yeah just yesterday I read an article saying they were sitting on $245 million in inventory and it was cheaper to trash the products than to sell them due to warehousing costs. Looks like they may at least be trying to sell some of them at steep discounts.

I have probably 100 of these in my office, they are cute but I've never paid more than $5-$6 for most of them (except for a few big ones like the one here) and they aren't worth the retail price of $12-$13 the small ones go for.

Their licensing and design is great, but I would bet that the millions of dollars in units they are tossing are the less popular brands.

Yeah, then dumping all of their merch makes me really rethink if I wanna buy too much of their stuff unless I really like it. Yeah we assume "all corps do this", but I know for sure these guys do.

I guess because so much of what they do is licensed, they are really hurting. Some of those contracts are paid up front likely, others have royalties they can't recover if they sell too low in price (assumptions I read about).

So I really hope anyone thinking about flipping these at some point does their research.

A repeat of the Video Game crash of 1983 except with Funko Pops. Oversaturated, and most people are over the craze. Guess it could be compared to Beanie Babies as well. I have 6 or 8 Pops of characters I like from different shows that I found for $3-$5. Otherwise, I don't get them just to display a wall of Pops! I will probably get this Mandalorian set... again because I like the show and Star Wars in general.

They should bundle and sell them as target practice targets.
