However where I am really benefitting from Costco is with their services.
First they typically have the cheapest gas.
Car Insurance is cheap as I can find and it's been a good experience for a few years now.
Just bought my wife a brand new Mazda CX-5 and the dealer was able to lower the cost an extra $1800 because of a negotiated rate with Costco below MSRP.
My older CX-5 needed some repair love and Costco allowed me to save 15% on parts and services.
Was planning a mini getaway to Universal Studios to stay on site and Costco had the best package, including extras in promo credit, Universal credit and 2% back because I'm an executive member.
Executive membership has paid for itself the last few years with a little extra cash in my pocket plus the Citi Card check I just direct deposited was very welcome.

So yea I shop less during the year but I feel like I have saved so much by having this.
