Depends on your use case. I was using a 27" IPS panel @ 1440p no curved panel (ASUS Designo or something like that) and then flipped over to a 32" curved Acer VA panel with similar specs.

If I was doing anything with design, I'd probably go with IPS. The colors pop more, and the whites are cleaner IMO, but the blacks look like trash. If you're just doing general WFH, this is a great monitor. If you want to game on it, understand it's restrictions and have a PC that can push it to 100hz. There's a law of diminished returns on Hz - 60 to 100Hz is a big jump, 100 to 144Hz isn't nearly as dramatic, but still noticeable if you're coming from 144Hz down to 100Hz.

FWIW, this is coming from a guy who also owns OLED and FALD TVs.

Good deal as long as you're not planning on gaming on it. This one has real bad black smear & ghosting issues.

1800R so not super curved. Real brightness is roughly 270 nits. Rtings here:

1800R, roughly middling curvature. I have an 1800R monitor and I kinda wish it was 1000R.

34" Dell S3422DWG WQHD 144Hz VA Curved FreeSync LED Gaming Monitor
https://slickdeals.net/f/16473124-34-dell-s3422dwg-wqhd-144hz-va-curved-freesync-led-gaming-monitor-...
RTINGS says that the Dell S3422DWG is better in all major categories [rtings.com]. The LG 35WN65C-B does have some specific features that the Dell lacks, such as a KVM switch (which doesn't work with Mac OS). However, the LG appears to lack a picture by picture (PBP) mode, which I have personally found to be very useful. Personally, I would buy the Dell if you would even consider gaming or watching HDR content. On the other hand, if you consider an integrated KVM switch a necessity or if you can't afford the $80 premium for the Dell, that might be enough to make the LG worth your while.

As the other poster mentioned, it's only 1800r, but keep in mind because it's 35" it'll seem slightly more curved than a standard 32" with the same 1800r curvature. The wider you go at the same curvature, assuming the viewing distance from the monitor stays the same, the more it will seem to wrap around, even if the radius of the extended curve is consistent across the spectrum of monitor sizes.

If I am not using this for gaming and primarily just work, do I really need it curved?

Good price for a decent monitor.
Pros : 35" good size
Speakers

Cons: At least to me as I am in the market for UW Curve Monitor these days.34"-40" size range.
No USB-C connector - A big No, because everything I am using these days is USB-C and I need a USB-C connector with a PD option to charge.
Curvature: This one is 1800R which I have not seen mentioned on the Costco site, but, if I go for 34" or above, I need at least 1500R to 1000R Cuvature, otherwise I wouldn't call it a real curve.
To some, this is good for the budget monitor.

Believe me, had one Acer Nitro 1500R, and in my office, we had a Dell 1800R and it's a huge difference in terms of comfort level. My major use is not gaming, its work and curve are a must a good one in the range of 1500R to 1000R, a 1200R would be great if you're planning to use any monitor in the size range of 34" or above.

This DELL is 1900R.

I recommend AOC CU34G2X. We have 4 of them. Inexpensive and overall very good performance for office use.

I had this for a while. Good that is has decent speakers and the VA panel is of good quality. The curve is perfect for viewing spreadsheets and code windows, any more curve would be terrible for that work. This has a heavy metal stand unlike plastic on some LG models.

Bad thing is the limited view angle made it difficult to see the task bar at the bottom as it got faded if you sit off center. Also no PBP or PIP. limited tilting up and down.

I have one and really like it for work. I don't have any issues with viewing angles.

Two issues though:
Changing HDMI inputs disables the other one. So if you use a laptop and switch HDMI 1 to HDMI 2, the HDMI 1 input will disable and the laptop will bring all windows to the laptop screen. This doesn't happen if you use an HDMI input and a Display Port input.

Also, no side by side support for two inputs, which I would really like.

Other than that, a great buy for that price. I'll never go back to dual side by side monitors.

It's not a straightforward question but for me, if it's an IPS panel of 34" or lower, you don't need it to be curved. If it's a VA panel of 32" or higher, you want it to have at least a slight curve to help.with viewing angle distortion (1800r or so) and then if you're going ultrawide above 35" I think curvature is a must whether IPS or VA simply from an ergonomic perspective. Ymmv though and this summary can be opposed.

I see this comment on almost every monitor post. Can someone explain to me why this information is important?

The Dell also has pbp (picture by picture) so two cables and it behaves like two screens
