if you actually own a foaming dispenser
you already know to take ANY liquid soap
then add 60-80% water to get it to foam properly.

Another option that comes to mind is buying handsoap from Target when they have the get-a-bonus-gift-card offer on the health and beauty category. Also check Costco and BJs as their prices are better if you have their membership or can borrow their membership card from a family or friend.

1. Preservative. The foaming hand soaps typically have preservatives that are different than liquid soap because the chemical compositions/water contents are different. They can go bad and mold which for soap is not good.
2. Suspension. If you dilute regular hand soap it will be in a colloidal suspension and due to its higher tallow/saturated ratios it may not fully mix and stratify over time. You can minimize that by mixing it in warm to hot water, but over time it will still separate some.
This soap specifically SUCKs in a Gojo while it foams its lather dies pretty quick and you need to use 2x for it to spread like the Gojo soap, so the cost per mL of usable is the same. I bought a bunch of this last time, really regret that. Maybe the Dial dispenser adds more air, but in general this is a highly overrated soap IMHO.
I have also tried the tablet refills, they are the worst (you can never fully dissolve the pack) and end up costing more than the most expensive method.
I have found Bastion or cutting off the Pacific Blue top is more cost effective than Gojo, but Gojo soap is top notch. I'm going to try Zep at HD which is more watery so it may thin out better than other products.
BTW many people laugh I use Gojo but my brother runs facilities for a major school district and the Gojo dispensers use 33% the soap per dose versus hand pump or others (maybe GP does also), so it saves the school district millions per year. So take that as you will, I only have to refill Gojo maybe every 6 months and the high traffic bathroom may see 50 or more visits a day by the kids/fam.
So yes you can do it, but it is not ideal.
