Got this for $900 on Ebay - it is very quiet and performs pretty well - 3070 was an MSI reference card, the 1 TB SSD was a samsung PM9A1 (980 pro equiv?), also had Samsung ddr5 ram and a Seagate HDD. For some reason they put the USB C on the back and there is only one of them.
I've had one for a week. It's build quality is very good. I put in 4 old ssd drives from a previous computer, so there is room for expansion. I took out the 1T Western digital Blue, it caused a 3 second lag every time the drive spins up. Still have a blank slot for another m2 ssd. Mine also has the Samsung pm9a 1T m2.

Is it upgrade-friendly in the future? I've read some use proprietary mobos, or something like that, and it makes upgrading not possible.

This one looks like it's using standard ATX stuff, so you should be able to replace the PSU which you will have to if you're going to upgrade, because 500W is a sick joke. I've seen my 12700K+3080 system pulling close to 600W off the wall in games

And, mine is a 32 gb model(not exactly this one) and everyone recomends only (2) memory sticks for 12th gen cpu. IDK, but you would probably have to use 2 16's. Most don't need 32 so most likely not a problem. So, overall it is very upgradeable as long as you understand this IS NOT a full-size case. It looks like a midsize MB would slip in, but this one is fine for mostly everything.
1. Extensive Photoshop/Illustrator work 10 day in a month
2. Occasional gaming
And can we add additional RAM to make it 32 from 16 gb ?
See my post above this one. I don't game, it would do what you want perfect. Take out the spinning hard drive, it will be the only lag in the system. I'm doing film on a primefilm scanner that is acceptable to me with 40meg photos. My old 3rd gen i5 cpu was starting lag. If you fill up your memory @16gb you can definitely get 32gb petty cheap. My take- good to go. This system just idles compared to my 10yo one it replaced.
How does a 3070 compare to a 1080TI? Looking to have a gaming performance increase on mainstream shooters.
I am running Horizon 5 in Ultrawide 4K at 60fps with an MSI RTX 3070. My base hardware is better than this with a gen13 i9 but I doubt that would make much of a difference.

The picture on the Costco which looks like a render seems to show 4 dimm slots. The psref[lenovo.com] says that too.
