According to customer reports On Cloud shoes have the worst outsole durability of any athletic shoe brand. Worse than HOKA.

Can confirm. Usually with my Hoka Clifton 8s or Bondi 7 I can get almost 250 miles on them before having to get a new pair. However, with the ON Cloudmonster (same outsoles as this model but in a more cushioned shoe) I'm barely over 100 miles and the bottoms are almost all gone. The outsoles on these ON shoes don't last that long at all (especially compared to my Brooks Ghost 14 that has almost 400 miles on it before needing to be replaced).

Damn, outsole gone after 100 miles? I think they advertise the Cloudmonster as marathon shoes. But you can only run a few full marathons on them, not even counting training? Maybe only designed for treadmill 🤣

For anyone that purchased at $105 like me. REI will provide a one-time price adjustment on items purchased at an REI store within 14 days of the purchase date. I was able to have them refund the difference over chat, less than 5 minutes.

Are you declaring their entire line to be crap? If so, you are wrong. I've owned maybe 8-10 pairs of On's and they're super good and I've walked/run many miles in each pair.

I will agree that the CloudMonsters are very poor quality. I pushed them to 300 miles before I couldn't stand it anymore and just tossed them. I did manage 2 half marathons and one full marathon with them, but I'd never buy them again.

Having said that I LOVE my CloudSwifts and I got a touch over 400 miles on my first pair and I'm 250ish on a second with a third in reserve (30-40 miles a week eats shoes fast). The CloudSwifts have a very nice lacing assist from the sole to the top four holes and it lets me tailor them to my preferred comfort. I do have narrower feet and love the cradling it does. The toe box also isn't too big which I prefer.

I've had a pair of Hoka Bondi and hated them. I felt like I was wearing trampolines. On the other hand my wife loves Hoka and hates On. YMMV

Facts. I just returned a brand new pair of water proof ones and went back to my Ghost 14s. My feet immediately thanked me. Lol

A lot of people dumping on the brand but personally I love the feel of the cloudmonster and have put a couple hundred miles on them after mainly running in brooks. I can't say they will have the longevity but they are very comfortable! I bought one of these after seeing some good reviews.
