It seems these have no reverse function, for those that need/want it.

I have one install in a small area and it works great. They give you a ton of wire you will have to cut if you're mounting to a 8ft ceiling but otherwise install was easy putting it in the place of an old existing light fixture.

App and remote work great. Going to connect it to work with Alexa but haven't gotten around to it since it's at a camp.

Probably cheaper fans out there but if you want to connect it to a smart home set up this isn't a bad option.

Do you need a junction box that is fan rated? With all that vibration with a fan, I worry when replacing using a regular old light fixture junction box, unless you have attic access and see the bar that goes across the beams supporting the box.
From the manual, "The fan must be secured to the building structure or a fan-rated outlet box capable of supporting 32kg (70Lbs)."

Yes, I did use a fan box and I did have attic access.

Haven't purchased many fans in my lifetime, but they were purchased at Costco and indicated a unit of measurement in air movement. Seems to be missing here, but I suppose you can't expect anything top notch for $100

I'm weary of any permanent fixture where the lights can't be replaced easily. You should be too.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but-this fan only has 3 blades. Do more blades usually = more cold air when the fan is spinning?

This is tempting. Without going into the attic how do I know the receptacle in the center of the room is mounted to a stud. I don't want to climb around blown insulation.

Not a dumb question, and I do think that more blades would have made this fan more functional, but maybe less attractive.
But it's not just more blades = more air. There are 3 blades fan with higher airflow than 5 blade ones.

The airflow for this fan is 4500 CFM. I contacted the manufacturer to ask and they replied promptly.
I think it is very low for this size fan so I didn't purchase it.

Yeah don't install ceiling fans in JUST a standard light box. They make ceiling fan/braced boxes that you can put in without attic access. Yeah they're more expensive, but better than having a fan come crashing down on your head.

Eh not too worried about leds. Especially with buying from Costco. Have multiple ceiling fans with integrated leds like these that are on and off many times during the day for years and have yet to have an issue with any of them.

I saw this in-store and was tempted, but reviews were pretty terrible.

Is the light bright enough ? My living room now is illuminated by 3 7W LED light bulbs, anything less is too dark.
