Roasted Pecans are my jam… but just buy and roast them yourselves in the oven..
Why this has peanut oil and sugar in it is beyond me.. I'm sure they're tasty but it's so easy to roast them yourself and the taste is amazing
Yes, I roast these in the air fryer and there's no need for added oil, let alone peanut oil. But these don't have any added sugar. The 1g sugar per serving is naturally occurring in pecans.
pay the same price or more then more for other ingredients, then time and electricity to roast yourself. wtf man, just buy these.
Let's do the math on that.
Here's how I roast mine: 1lb of raw pecans in the air fryer for 5 mins at 350F, and then toss them with 1tsp of salt as soon as the fryer is done.
Cost of raw materials:
2lbs pecans non-sale price at Sam's is $12.48
5 mins air fryer is 1500Wx5/60=0.125kwh, which costs $0.015-$0.03 (depending on where you live) for a yield of 1lb
Cost of 1tsp salt $0.01 to make 1lb
Doing math to find the cost of 7.25oz:
Pecans $2.827
Electricity $0.01
Salt $0.003
Total: $2.84
So even at a deal price of $4.47, it costs 57.4% more.
Still, if you just want to try them to see if you like them, this is a great price. If you like snacking on them often, then making your own is a much better deal.

No sugar. Costco sells big bags of raw pecans at a good price to roast yourself if you prefer.
Roast them yourself, once ... just try it once and stop worry about breaking out a saucepan on a stove for 5 min
You will not regret, just soo good
