It looks like Best Buy is having a 3-day sale on Apple products. Specifically, I wanted to call out the deals on the 14" and 16" M1 MacBook Pros. [bestbuy.com]

Specifically, I think the following are pretty decent deals:

16" MacBook Pro w/ M1 Max (10 processing cores/32 graphic cores), 32 GB RAM, and 1 TB SSD. Current price of $2799, which is $700 of list price. [bestbuy.com]
14" MacBook Pro w/ M1 Pro (8 processing cores/14 graphic cores), 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD. Current price of $1599, which is $400 off list price. [bestbuy.com]

The 14" m2 with identical specs was only $200 more this week on Amazon. Dunno if it still is.

I ended up getting the 16 inch M1 Pro with the 1 TB SSD for $2099 after I got BB to price match MicroCenter close to where I live, which had it for $100 less ($2099 vs $2199). I did a simple online chat and sent them a link to MC's listing and it was done and paid for in less than 10 minutes for in store pick up. But they did ask me for my zip code to confirm that I did indeed live near MC and the store only had 1 in stock allowing them to do the actual price adjustment. They sent me a link to make the discounted purchase.

I was surprised they actually let me pick up 30 miles away at a BB that was tax free further saving me another $131. Being that I'm also a Totaltech member, I also got Applecare+ included for 2 years and using my BB Rewards Card got me another $105 that I can use in a future purchase.

>>>So $2199 - $100 MC Price Match - $105 Rewards = $1994 plus $256 in Applecare+ Value on top if you have a paid Totaltech Membership. Also, no tax in my specific situation as I live on the border of a tax free state.

So if you have a MicroCenter near you, check to see if they have stock of these above models and BB will match the price for you.

Edit: I just went and looked at Apple Refurbs and the prices at BB are within about $100 of what Apple are selling their refurbished units (New Case and Battery) for. I'd gladly pay the small difference for a NEW unit knowing that I am the first person to handle the device after it left the factory. But if you're on a tight budget, Apple Refurbs are also an amazing option.

Even as an average user, there are times when I do wish I had 32 Gbs of RAM. My 40 tabs of Google Chrome makes me use Swap Memory all the time on my M1 Pro 2021 Macbook.

I purchased this model with 32gb a few weeks ago from microcenter for much lower than this price. Really good laptop with really good battery life, i have an external 17 inch monitor thats used with it. The performance is better than people think. I would recommend it if you can get it for lower by 300 or more.

For anybody on the fence between this and 14" and M1 vs M2. if your eyes could use the help, go big. Especially with the notch taking away from vertical real estate screen height.

M1 is VERY powerful with excellent thermals on the 16" even for high end productivity, and you'll be hard pressed to get the fan to switch on. I'd get the M1 then wait to replace it with the touch screen MBP (hopefully without notch island).

I was able to get BB to price match microcenter in Houston and then no problem telling them the store I wanted to pickup was in DFW. They even offered to ship to store if it wasn't in stock.

Only problem is there might not be one near you, in that case just get the price match.
