I don't know much about knives but my Dad bought me a Spyderco that I carried with me in Afghanistan and I loved that knife. Thanks for the post.
I don't get it. I'm already verified with ID.me, but when I sign in to Spyderco, it asks me for all of my details including service dates and SSN. WTF?
Actually no. It's not just for veterans. First responders, active military, medical professionals, EMT.

But that's besides the point. When I access other merchant programs with ID.me, I just log in to ID.me from the merchant and that's it. That's the point right? ID.me is the "trusted" organization that "verifies" to the merchant that I am who I am, that I belong to certain groups, etc...

I've been using the ladybug on my keychain for years! I've used it to cut open packages, open bottles, etc. It's a beast!

Well just to compare I placed theSpyderco Ladybug 3 Signature Knife with 1.9" VG-10 Steel Blade and Lightweight Foliage Green in the cart for $67/2=$33.50 for the discount and a whopping $13 for shipping.

Compare that to the Amazon price with no discount of $46.90 and one finds the discount is pretty bogus.....hardly worth the ID.me hassle.

I don't understand these "professional discounts". These professional get paid for their jobs. And if you don't think they get paid enough, then let's do something about THAT. Not discounts. But over these past few years, we should all come to realize that every cog in our economy needs to work in our economy to make everyone run smoothly. Except for CEOs. They're over paid and over worth.

Spyderco wants to unload excessive inventory, but still want to keep prices inflated. There are many other companies doing the same. I would not buy their products until they lower prices for everyone.
